OPEN HOUSES:  Saturday, Oct.  11 at our office at 33 Depot Street from 10 am to 1 pm and on Monday, Oct. 13 from 10 am to 1 pm at the Saranac Lake Chamber of Commerce at the Harrietstown Town Hall.

ALL NEW YORKERS can participate - and we need your help - NOW. Help us with this grand and daring retail plan for Saranac Lake. Help us shape the economic destiny of our community and set a model for the world. We're well on our way towards our goal of $500,000.

Shares are $100 a piece and the maximum purchase is 100 shares or $10,000.

If you haven't already heard, Hacketts has announced that they will be opening a store in Lake Placid (at the former Tops/Grand Union storefront) this spring.  We welcome their arrival as we think it will further enhance the offerings we have available to us in the Tri-Lakes region (once the Community Store is up and running) and further encourage folks to shop locally.  And remember, one of the tremendous advantages that the Community Store will have, once we're fully capitalized and can get going, is that we will be able to adjust our inventory, and refine our market niche quickly, with your input, so that we better serve all of the residents of the Tri-lakes and beyond.

We have over 400 investors from more than 50 different communities across the state, including Syracuse, Monsey, New York City, Albany and Rochester.
 
We got the OK from the Attorney General's office to extend the offering to mid-December.
 
And we are delighted to be a part of the plan for the Development of the Depot Street area.  Our intention is to open the store in a temporary location, once the Offering has been completed, while we wait for the Depot Development to be completed.
